Seahawks Win First Preseason Game Against Chiefs


Having been defeated in the Divisional Play-offs by the Carolina Panthers last time around, Head Coach Pete Carroll will be looking to ensure his Seattle Seahawks team make a quick start to NFL life this year. The Seahawks certainly demonstrated that their off-season work has paid off, with a 17-16 victory over the Kansas City Chiefs in their opening pre-season fixture. In what was a tight game at Arrowhead Stadium, rookie quarterback Trevone Boykin starred, with the 22-year-old finding wide receiver Tanner McEvoy for a 37-yard touchdown to pull his side level in the closing stages. As a result, Seattle were able to go for an additional two points, with running back Troymaine Pope sealing victory with the last play of the game.
