Russell Wilson Gives High Praise to Leading WR D.K. Metcalf

D.K. Metcalf is reaping the benefits of the big season that quarterback Russell Wilson is having, as the receiver is leading the NFL in receiving yards after four weeks.

Thus far Metcalf has 16 catches for 403 yards and three scores, of course he would have had four if not for the incident against the Cowboys, but he still rebounded to catch a TD later in the game.

Metcalf is putting up 25.2 yards per catch, the best in the NFL, and he’s got Wilson to thank for the his quick rise to being a star.

The QB spoke about Metcalf on Thursday, giving him quite a bit of praise for becoming of the best playmakers in the game.

“He’s the best in the world at what he does,” Wilson said to the Seattle Times.

“He’s continued to evolve into one of the best receivers in the game. Not to be shy about it, I think he is one of the top receivers in the game. He can do it all — he can run by you, he can jump over you, he can get physical with you. . . . He just approaches the game the right way.”

We shall see if Wilson and Metcalf can remain maybe the best 1-2 punch in the NFL, and if it means a Super Bowl trip for the Hawks come February.
