Seahawks Visiting with Former RB Marshawn Lynch as the Team Looks for Healthy Running Backs

The Seahawks need help at the running back spot, and are turning to an old friend to possibly try and settle their issues at the position.

Reports say that the team is visiting with former Seahawks RB Marshawn Lynch, and some think that he could ink a deal with the team as early as Monday evening.

“He’ll be flying in there this morning, and we’re going to give him a really good chance to come back and play for us,” coach Pete Carroll said Monday morning on 710 ESPN Seattle.

“He’s really excited about the chance to help us,” Carroll added, per the Seattle Times.

Hawks leading rusher Chris Carson is out for the rest of the season with a broken hip, and the team will miss his 1,230 yards.

The team also won’t have C.J. Prosise, who suffered a broken arm in Seattle’s Week 16 loss to Arizona, and tackle Duane Brown, who has a knee issue that requires surgery.

They need to pickup someone, and fast, as the team will have the premiere game in week 17 when they take on the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday night football.
