Seahawks Re-Sign Wide Out Jaron Brown

The Seahawks have re-signed wide receiver Jaron Brown according to Bob Condotta of the Seattle Times.

The Seahawks surprisingly released Brown Saturday after he was expected to work alongside Tyler Lockett in 2-WR sets. It is tough to pin down just how many snaps any of the Seahawks wide receivers and tight ends will have other than Lockett, who is locked in as Russell Wilson’s No. 1 pass-game option. The 29-year-old Brown, originally an undrafted free agent out of Clemson, spent five years with the Arizona Cardinals before joining the Seahawks in 2018, In his first year in Seattle he posted a pedestrian 14 receptions for 166 yards but a surprising five touchdowns in 16 games.

To create a spot on the roster for Brown, the Seahawks placed veteran tight end Ed Dickson on injured reserve.
