Richard Sherman Says He Understands Chatter of Seahawks Hearing Trade Offers for Him

Coach Pete Carroll confirmed the Seattle Seahawks have entertained trade offers for cornerback Richard Sherman.

Sherman, seemingly would like to stay in Seattle but is unfazed by the rumors, Gee Scott of MyNorthwest.com
reports.

Sherman said, “I wouldn’t want to leave this city and my guys, but I understand it’s a business and organizational philosophies change.”

The questions of Sherman’s relationship with the Seahawks began after a sideline incident with defensive teammates and coordinator Kris Richard in an October win over Atlanta. Then, during a win over the Rams in December, Sherman confronted Carroll and offensive coordinator Darrell Bevell.

The trade speculation originated with comments from former NFL front-office executive Michael Lombard in a podcast on The Ringer. He said he believes Seattle would trade Sherman for the right deal.
