Seahawks Stunner: Team Waives Running Back Christine Michael

Christine Michael

The Seahawks today made a rather surprising move, as the team waived running back Christine Michael, this according to NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport.

The team dispatched Michael with starting running back Thomas Rawls ready to return from injury, but it still comes as a surprise with Michael being the teams’ leading rusher.

This season Michael started seven of the nine Hawks games, and had 117 carries, 469 rushing yards and six rushing touchdowns.

The back did have his carries cut big time the last two weeks, as he ran the ball just 10 times against the Bills and Pats, scoring a touchdown in the win over Buffalo.
