Seahawks Safety Earl Thomas To Miss The Start of Training Camp

Seahawks All-Pro safety Earl Thomas will not be ready for the start of training camp as he rehabs from shoulder surgery and his availability for the regular season opener against the St. Louis Rams is in doubt according to Ed Werder of ESPN.

Thomas underwent surgery in February to repair a torm labrum and reports at the time that there was “no doubt” he would be ready for the regular season were somewhat surprising given that full recovery from this kind of surgery normally takes six to eight months. According to Werder, the good nes is that that Thomas is making “steady progress” in his rehab and has not suffered any unusual setbacks.
