Percy Harvin’s Status Still Unknown

Someone who has not been able to shake the injury bug all season is wide receiver Percy Harvin. Harvin has essentially missed the entire 2013 season from a hip injury that required surgery. Harvin played in just one regular season game, but was activated two days ago to play in Seattle’s playoff match up against the New Orleans Saints. Harvin was again injured due to a vicious hit leaving the fifth year wide receiver with a concussion.

According to PFT, a league source tells them Harvin participated in baseline testing on Monday. The test compares his current cognitive abilities to prior measurements before he sustained the concussion. Harvin must be cleared by a non-team neurologist both to practice and to play next Sunday against the San Francisco 49ers.

So to this point, it is unclear what Harvin’s chances of playing are. Harvin will get one extra day to prepare due to last week’s game being held on a Saturday. However, Seahawks Gab will continue to follow the story.
