Pete Carroll says ‘Hard Knocks’ Not for Seahawks

Seattle Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll did an interview on N.F.L Network Friday, explaining the team’s decision not to do ‘Hard Knocks’ the show on HBO about life in the N.F.L.

“That’s just not going to suit what we’re trying to get done here,” Carroll said. “I just don’t want to put that in the middle of our process,” he went on. ” We’re trying to win football games and hopefully we can entertain that way than rather on the show”

I would have loved to see the Seahawks in the national spotlight and to see what goes on behind the scenes, but if it’s not in the team’s best interest of winning, then I think its the smart move to make.

Happy to hear that HBO had asked the Seahawks to appear on Hard Knocks. Am even more thrilled that Pete said “no thanks”. Sea needs to focus on winning-winning the division, winning in the playoffs and winning the superbowl. Hard Knocks could be a distraction in my estimation with some of our younger studs and new player acquisitions. Looking forward to a great season for the Seahawks! I see 10-12 wins this year.

Very interesting. Would have been pretty cool for all Seahawks fans to see. Will have to look up the show and see what other teams will participate.
