The Seahawks have QB Matt Flynn waiting in the wings, but Tarvaris Jackson thinks that he’s still going to make it a competition.
In order for that to happen, Jackson needs to get healthy, and CBS Sports reports that the QB says that his pectoral injury from a season ago is healed.
The pec injury limited him throughout the season and he missed a game and a half before starting the final nine games, but he was dealing with the injury the entire time.
“I haven’t had any problems the whole offseason as far as throwing the football,” Jackson said. “Just taking it a little easy as far as lifting and stuff goes.”
For now, Flynn, who signed a huge offseason free agent deal, is penciled in as the starter, but Jackson is going to do whatever he can to make it interesting in camp this summer.
I hope Flynn wins the starting job. Time to move on from Jackson
