Jon Kitna to Become Lincoln High School Football Coach

Jon Kitna has decided to return to the region where he enjoyed some of his best success as a starting quarterback.

This time as a coach.

According to reports the former Seattle Seahawks starting quarterback has accepted the head coaching position at his alma mater Lincoln High School.

To me this just seems really cool, anytime a High School can land someone with 169 touchdown tosses and a couple of NFL playoff berths under their belt, it should be deemed as a success.

Lord knows I would have gladly taken Kitna over my crappy coach.

  1. Big AL says:

What is just as, if not more important to the students at Lincoln – he is also teaching (math, I think). How cool is that? Talk about putting your money where your mouth is, leading from the front, and countless other one-liners…… I hope he inspires many of those kids to do well in class, not just the elite athletes to do well on the gridiron.
