Seahawks Beast Rams 30-13 Keeping Slim Playoff Hopes Alive

I’ll admit I didn’t get a chance to watch the game– I was asleep actually, finals take priority and the only chance I had to sleep was during the game 🙁

I didn’t need to though, as I fully expected, Beast Mode and company battered the hapless Rams 30-13, claiming their 13/14th victory against St. Louis; seven years of absolute dominance.

It’s safe to say they have not only played themselves out of Andrew Luck territory, but out of Matt Barkley territory as well barring a draft day deal to move up.

The Seahawks are one of the hottest teams in the league right now, the Packers and Tebows take the cake; but it can be said that no running back in the league is better then Marshawn Lynch right now. The dude is just a different breed of running back and no one runs the ball as tough and relentless as this man does.

The Seahawks pushed their record to 6-7 with 3 games left to play. This will all be for naught if the Seahawks do not win out their remaining three games. The season will be over if they lose to the Bears at Soldier Field next week on short rest. Likewise, the Bears season will probably be over if they lose to the Seahawks.

The Seahawks are three full teams behind the sixth and final wildcard spot held by the 8-5 Detroit Lions.

Chicago and Dallas both sport 7-6 records. Seattle only manages to stay alive if they beat Chicago anyway, so, assuming they do, that pushes both their records to 7-7 and would push Seattle over Chicago in the standings. The most ideal scenario for the Seahawks would be Dallas making a late push to overtake the Giants in the NFC East.

This is all while hoping of course, the Lions stumble down the stretch against 2 playoff hopeful squads and the undefeated Packers. If they manage to win 2 of 3 and the Falcons win just one more game, the Seahawks season is over.

The slim hope is there, the Seahawks certainly don’t control their own destiny.

But maybe the skittles do.
