Source: Tarvaris Jackson out with pectoral injury

Although it was originally believed that Seahawks starting quarterback Tarvaris Jackson suffered a shoulder injury on Sunday against the Giants, a source close to the situation tells Pro Football Talk that Jackson actually suffered a pectoral injury.

According to the source, early signs lean in favor of Jackson being alright.  With that said, Jackson will undergo further evaluation and have an MRI on Monday, via an NFL source.

“We don’t know what (it) means,” head coach Pete Carroll said, according to the site. “Fortunately it’s bye time.”

The Alabama State alum was 15-22 for 166 yards, with one touchdown and one interception before exiting early in the Big Apple.  He also rushed the rock four times for 17 yards, and was sacked four times.
