Seattle Seahawks Free Agency Tracker

09

A couple of bittersweet things have happened today, some expected and unexpected in Hawkville. I was surprised about losing Olindo Mare, but stoked (pun intended) about adding two high profile free agents today.

Will Herring bolting makes sense because he wants a better chance at more playing time and the Seahawks already have four able startable linebackers.

Brandon Stokely will always have a place in my heart but his departure was very probable.

Matt Hasselbeck, well, yes, he will be missed by many and not missed by some, but this was expected and the fact heโ€™s in the hands of former Seahawks tutoring a hometown product makes it less painful. Hopefully the fact Matt Leinart decided to stay means that the Seahawks make a play for Kyle Orton and make me forget all about it and the fact Tarvaris Jackson may start for us. Below you will find a list of the comings and goings of free agency, updated when anything significant happens.

Crossing fingers on Brandon Mebane like the rest of you.

  4. Not a bad pickup of free agents. Expect a lot of chemistry and experience to be flowing from the Offensive line with Gallery and Zach Miller; thanks to their years in Oakland together.
Any chance Carroll is holding out for Carson Palmer? Palmer wants to move back West more than anything.
