Agreed Upon Free Agency Rules Great For Seahawks

Things keep getting better for the Seattle Seahawks as the loose ends of labor negotiations start coming together. Announced today was essentially every fan (and free agents) dream scenario for this shortened off seasons free agency structure.

When the new CBA is ratified, presumably by or at the owners meeting in Georgia, teams will have 72 hours to re-sign their players, they will also not have any additional “right of first refusal” well, rights. After three days, the bonanza will begin and all players with at least four years of accrued service and without a contract are up for grabs.

Expect Pete Carroll to be at the front of the line for guys like Jonathan Joseph, Nnamdi Asomuagha, Ray Edwards, Cullen Jenkins, (enter available Jets receiver), Robert Gallery, Eric Weddle.

In fact, they could add all these guys, and still probably have a little money left over.
