Marshawn Lynch Run Gets Snubbed For ESPY Nomination (Sort Of)

Well damn the ESPYs.

I knew they would find a way to somehow not recognize the most ridiculous rushing play probably anybody has seen in recent memory.

In the nomination preview show, Marshawn Lynch’s name was absent amongst “NFL strongest performance award”, and there’s an interesting twist too.

Teammate Leon Washington made the cut for his (almost) equally epic performance against the San Diego Chargers (that if you think about it did technically get them into the post season?), returning a pair of kickoffs for touchdowns.

At least the Seahawks didn’t get snubbed for their historically inept backwards crawl into the playoffs, with a deserving nod to Washington and a nomination for the Seahawks upset over the (then), defending champion Saints in the “best upset” category.

I don’t remember the other three, but I have a feeling the Seahawks at least have that one in the bag.

I mean for Petes’ sake, I was part of the only known crowd of fans in human history who has knowingly created an earthquake during a sporting event, how can the Seahawks not win?

Washington has some competition with Arian Foster though, that’s not clear cut at all.
