Seahawks Won’t Receive Upgraded Pick For Ravens CB Josh Wilson

Jamison Hensley of The Baltimore Sun reports the conditional 2011 draft choice the Ravens sent to the Seahawks in exchange for cornerback Josh Wilson will not be upgraded. Widely reported to be a fifth-round draft choice, Ravens general manager Ozzie Newsome has confirmed that Wilson did not meet the requirements to trigger an upgrade.

Wilson (5-9, 192) started nine of his 14 games with the Ravens, including the final eight, totaling 40 tackles, 3 interceptions, and 14 passes defensed, the second-highest total on the team. One of Wilson’s three interceptions was returned 12 yards for a game-winning touchdown in overtime against the Houston Texans in Week 14. Wilson added four tackles, three passes defensed, and an interception in two playoff starts
