Seahawks Hire former Raiders coach Tom Cable as OL Coach

The Seahawks today decided to hire former Raiders head coach Tom Cable as an assistant head coach/offensive line coach. Cable was fired just a few days after he led the Raiders to an 8-8 record, and a 6-0 record in the AFC West.

Pro Football Talk had this to say about the Cable hiring for the Hawks:

It is a nice move for Seattle and ensures the team will get the zone blocking scheme Pete Carroll envisioned a year ago. Cable’s mentor Alex Gibbs initially installed his system in Seattle, then left before the regular season started.

Seattle wasn’t done there, as they also hired Todd Wash as the teams new defensive line coach.
