Reports: Whitehurst Done Deal for Seattle

Both ESPN and ProFootballTalk report that the deal between the San Diego Chargers and the Seattle Seahawks for third-string quarterback Charlie Whitehurst is complete.

Both media outlets report that the Seahawks will fall 20 spots in the second round of this year’s N.F.L. Draft, as the Chargers and the Seahawks swapped their second-round selections as a part of the deal.  Seattle also agreed to give up a third-round pick in next year’s Draft.

The outlets went on to report that Seattle and Whitehurst came to terms on a two-year deal worth what is expected to be $5 million per season.

Whitehurst, a restricted free agent this year, has never thrown a pass in a regular-season game in the N.F.L.
