Seahawks Aim for 10th Consecutive Victory Against the Rams on Sunday

The Seahawks enter their final week of three consecutive road games with a trip to St. Louis this Sunday. It is the third time in franchise history that Seattle has had three straight road games on the schedule (1997, 2000). In each of those seasons, Seattle posted a 1-2 record during the stretch. Kickoff is slated for 10am (PT) and the game will be televised on FOX (channel 13 in Seattle) and broadcast on News Talk 97.3 KIRO FM and on 710 ESPN Radio in Seattle.

It will be the 23rd regular season meeting between the two clubs and 16th since joining the NFC West in 2002. Seattle leads the series, 13-9. The Seahawks have won 11 of the last 14 meetings and are in the midst of a nine game winning streak since 2005 after losing three in a row to the Rams (2003-04). The nine-game streak is the longest-ever for Seattle vs. an opponent.

Seattle opened the season with a Kickoff Weekend shutout of St. Louis on September 13. It was the Seahawks first shutout since blanking San Francisco on November 12, 2007 (24-0), and fourth overall shutout win on Kickoff Weekend in team history.

Seattle is 0-1 versus the Rams in the postseason dropping a 2004 Wild Card Game 27-20 in Seattle on January 8, 2005.

Matt Hasselbeck needs 876 yards to pass Seahawks Ring of Honor member Dave Krieg for the top spot as Seattle’s all-time gun-slinger.
