The Seahawks begin a string of three consecutive road trips for the third time in team history (1997, 2000). In each of those seasons, Seattle posted a 1-2 record during the stretch. This excursion begins at division-leading Arizona. Kickoff is slated for 1:15 pm and the game will be televised on FOX (channel 13 in Seattle) and broadcast on News Talk 97.3 KIRO FM and on 710 ESPN Radio in Seattle. Calling the game for the fifth time this season on FOX will be Dick Stockton and Charles Davis.

It will be the 22nd regular season meeting between the two clubs, with Arizona holding a 12-9 series edge. Arizona has won five of the last six meetings, including all three held at the University of Phoenix Stadium, after Seattle won four in a row from 2004-06. Since re-alignment in 2002, Seattle holds an 8-7 mark.

In last month’s game on October 18, the Cardinals held the ball for more than 42 minutes, held the Seahawks to 14 rush yards and 11 of 30 passing in their 27-3 victory at Qwest Field. Last season, Arizona swept the season series for the first time, winning at Qwest Field for the first time since 2002, 26-20, on November 16, 2008.

Two of Matt Hasselbeck’s top four passer rating performances have come against Arizona (133.5 on 12/10/06 and 131.6 on 12/9/07). He needs 56 attempts and 1,422 yards to pass Seahawks Ring of Honor member Dave Krieg for the top spot as Seattle’s all-time gunslinger.
