The Seahawks make their final preseason road trip this week as they travel to Kansas City to face the Chiefs on August 29 at 5 p.m. (PT). The game will be televised on KING 5 in Seattle. On 710 ESPN Radio is Steve Raible joined by former Seattle quarterback Sam Adkins.

This will be the fourth time the Seahawks and Chiefs have met in the preseason, with Seattle winning the previous three meetings. The last time these two teams met in the preseason was on August 26, 2005, a 23-17 win at Kansas City. The preseason series recently began in 2002 after Seattle was placed in the NFC West after realignment. Seattle won both home games in 2002 and 2003.

In the regular season, the teams have met 49 times, with the Chiefs holding a 31-18 edge in the series, including a 20-5 mark in Kansas City. In the most recent meeting on October 29, 2006, Seattle dropped a 35-28 decision at Arrowhead Stadium.

Seattle’s last regular season win in Kansas City was on November 21, 1999, by the score of 31-19. That season was Mike Holmgren’s first in Seattle and the Seahawks first win at the Chiefs since November 11, 1990.
