Seahawks Take Serious Blows to Regular Season Starting Line-up

I have learned that all-pro left tackle Walter Jones, starting cornerback Marcus Trufant and starting outside linebacker Leroy Hill could all miss time that would eat into the regular season.
Danny O’Neil reported Wednesday that Jones is to undergo surgery is on his left knee Thursday morning. This is coming after the starting left tackle had microfracture surgery in December.
Trufant has been out all preseason with a back injury. O’Neil reported that Trufant’s injury involves a disk in his back. This is an especially big blow to the secondary because their reserves aren’t anything to write home about. The list of reserves include: Josh Wilson, Kelly Jennings, Kevin Hobbs and Marquis Floyd.
The third blow comes due to an off-the-field issue.
Leroy Hill could miss time this regular season because of a misdemeanor charge of possession of marijuana. The charge, according to ESPN.com’s Mike Sando occurred January in Georgia.
