The Seahawks host the Denver Broncos in their preseason home opener on August 22 at 7:30 p.m. (PT). The game will be televised on KING 5 in Seattle. New to the booth this preseason for Seattle is Curt Menefee calling the play-by-play, with Warren Moon moving over from his radio duties to handle commentary.
On 710 ESPN Radio is Steve Raible joined by former Seattle quarterback Brock Huard with Keely Lindquist handling sideline duties.
This will be the eighth time the Seahawks and Broncos have met in the preseason, with Denver winning the previous seven meetings. The last time these two teams met in the preseason was on August 21, 2004, a 19-3 Broncos win.
The clubs also played in the American Bowl in Tokyo, Japan on August 4, 1990. Denver won that game too, 10-7.
In the regular season, these former AFC West rivals, have met 51 times, playing twice a year from 1978-2001. Seattle has played no other team more and holds an 18-33 regular season record vs. Denver.
