
The Eagles today have announced they have acquired the services of Hawks veteran fullback Leonard Weaver.Per a team-issued release, Weaver signed a one-year deal.
Weaver was talking to several teams. According to Sean Jensen of the St. Paul Pioneer Press, the contract has a maximum value of $2.5 million.
“He was extremely interested in the Vikings, and we thought it was a great fit,” agent Harold Lewis told the Pioneer Press. “But we felt the Eagles were the best fit.”
Weaver spent three seasons with the Seahawks, and had 80 carries for 356 yards and one TD.
