Seahawks Rally for Late Win in St.Louis 23-20

All season long the Seahawks had made way too many mistakes to be competitive. Sunday in a gutsy 23-20 win over the St.Louis Rams at the Edward Jones Dome, they finally got some bounces their way and were able to pull out a game they probably should not have won.

In improving to 3-11 on the season, the Hawks scored early on a Rams fumble, then put together a big fourth quarter as they scored 10 points in the final 2:47 to pull out the win. T.J. Duckett finished off an 80-yard drive with a one-yard run that made it 20-20 with 2:47 left. The Hawks defense forced three Marc Bulger incomplete passes, as they then got the ball back with 2:10 left at their own 32.

From there, Seneca Wallace hit the play of the game, a 45-yard pass connection to Deion Branch on 1st-and-10 from the Hawks 46 that put the ball on the Rams 9 with :44 seconds left. They let the clock run down, and then on the last play of the game Olindo Mare nailed a 27-yard field goal for the win.

Mare was clutch for the Hawks, kicking a 28, 50 and then 27 yard field goal for the win. Wallace was 15-for-25 for 226 yards. Maurice Morris rushed for 86 yards on 15 carries.

The Hawks will play their last home game of the 08 season next Sunday as they host the New York Jets and Brett Favre.
