Hawks Getting Set to Host Pats

The Seahawks enter the final month of the season with four games remaining; two at home and two on the road and host the New England Patriots this Sunday at Qwest Field. Kickoff is slated for 1:05 pm and the game will be televised on CBS (channel 7 in Seattle) and broadcast on News Talk 710 KIRO and 97.3 KIRO FM in Seattle.

It will be New England’s first trip to the Pacific Northwest since the 1993 season and will be the 15th meeting between the two teams in the regular season. Each team has won seven games apiece with Seattle winning five of the last six games.

The series began in 1977, with the teams playing 13 times in 17 years, including two matchups in 1993 and six straight road games with Seattle heading to Massachusetts from 1986-93.

Since 1993, the teams have only played once, on October 17, 2004, at New England. In that game against the defending Super Bowl champions, winners of 19 straight and 13 in a row at home, Seattle turned the ball over early leading to a Patriots 10-0 lead and could not come back from that defecit and lost, 30-20.
