Seattle Seahawks quarterback Matt Hasselbeck
Things as of late have not been looking up for Seattle Seahawks quarterback Matt Hasselbeck, healthwise as he said on Tuesday that a doctor still has not cleared him to play because of a leg problem stemming from a bulging disc in his back. Specifically, Hasselbeck told radio station KIRO in Seattle that he does not need surgery; he added that he failed tests in Los Angeles and was unable to walk on his heels. He also said there’s no pain in his back or leg, just a “dead” feeling.

Based on that information, it is highly unlikely that he will start when the host Seahawks face the Philadelphia Eagles Sunday as Seneca Wallace would likely get the nod. Hasselbeck has been shelved since October 5 when he hyperextended his knee against the New York Giants.
