The Seahawks resume NFC West play this weekend as they head south to face the San Francisco 49ers at Candlestick Park. Kickoff is slated for 1:15pm (PT) and the game will be televised on FOX (channel 13 in Seattle) and broadcast on News Talk 710 KIRO and 97.3 KIRO FM in Seattle.

This week’s game versus the 49ers will mark the 20th time the two clubs have squared off in the regular season with Seattle holding a 10-9 series edge. The Seahawks have won eight of the last 11, including sweeping the season series in 2007.

Earlier this season on September 14, the 49ers won a shoot out in overtime, 33-30. Seattle could not hold on to a 20-13 halftime lead, or contain J.T. O’Sulilvan and Isaac Bruce, who hooked up for four catches for 153 yards on the day. In the end, Joe Nedney forced overtime with a 28-yard field goal and then kicked a 40-yarder in overtime for the win.
