The Seahawks make their third east coast road trip this season as they head to Tampa for an NBC Sunday Night Football appearance against the Bucs. Kickoff is slated for 5:15 p.m. (PT) and the game will be televised on NBC (channel 5 in Seattle) and on News Talk 710 KIRO and 97.3 KIRO FM in Seattle.
It is the first of two scheduled nationally televised games (Week 14′s flex schedule vs. New England). The Seahawks hold a 31-22 all-time prime time record, including a 15-10 record on Sunday Night and a 2-2 record on NBC. Head Coach Mike Holmgren is 13-4 all-time on Sunday Night’s, including a 7-3 record with Seattle.
This marks the ninth matchup between the two 1976 expansion teams with the Seahawks holding a 7-1 advantage in the series. The two have met each of the last three seasons, all resulting in Seahawks victories. Seattle opened last season on September 9, 2007, with a 20-6 win at Qwest Field.
