Seahawks Make Some Roster Moves

The Seahawks made eight roster moves on Tuesday and one more is expected today. Rookie running back Justin Forsett and and second-year wide receiver Jordan Kent were released to make room for defensive tackle Rocky Bernard and defensive back Jordan Babineaux. Kent and Forsett could be signed to the practice squad. Both of the returning players are coming back from one-game suspensions.
Wide receiver Nate Burleson was placed on injured reserve after tearing a knee ligament and the Hawks came to terms with wide receiver Billy McMullen. Ryan Plackemeier was released and replaced by former Packers punter Jon Ryan. The announcement that Rob Simms will be placed on injured reserve is expected today. The Hawks first home game of the regular season is Sunday. They will be hosting the San Francisco 49ers. Kickoff is 1:05 p.m. You can watch the game on FOX.
