This Friday’s forecast is calling for great weather and great football. The Seahawks team roster is taking shape and players will be battling for positions as longtime rival Oakland visits Qwest Field.

As you prepare for the game, please be aware of the following:

  • Beat the weeknight traffic! Due to the holiday weekend, fans can expect heavy traffic in downtown Seattle and throughout the SODO area. Seahawks fans are encouraged to arrive at Qwest Field at least 90 minutes prior to kickoff to avoid any parking delays and overcrowding at the gates. Kickoff is set for 7pm. Touchdown City at the Qwest Field Event Center will open at 4pm.
  • Kickoff Week is Coming! Before kickoff of the Seahawks regular season opener on September 7th, Kickoff Week will take the region by storm in the form of special events, promotions and fan activities beginning with the FSN Seahawks Block Party on Tuesday. Click here for details.
  • Amtrak will get you to Qwest Field! There’s nothing like taking the train. Try whizzing through the Northwest and British Columbia in a custom-built, Euro-style passenger train. Now that’s the way to travel. Arriving at Qwest Field and Event Center via Amtrak Cascades is a great option for fans from Portland or Southwest Washington, as well as from Bellingham and other points north. For information on fares, schedules and online reservations visit AmtrakCascades.com or call (800) 872-7245.
  • Thank you for not smoking! In accordance with the Washington Clear Air Act and at the direction of the Department of Health, smoking is prohibited at Qwest Field and Qwest Field Event Center. We ask that you reiterate the smoking policy and the Fan Code of Conduct with your guests so that all fans may have the great Seahawks experiences that so many have come to enjoy.
