Ex-Panthers Guard Wahle Visits Seahawks

It certainly didn’t take long for ex-Carolina Panthers guard Mike Wahle to garner some interest as he was released by the team less than 48 hours ago; the Seattle Seahawks have confirmed that Wahle went to Seattle on Tuesday to meet with the team. Wahle was released by the Panthers Monday in what was described as a cost-cutting move.
Even though the NFL free-agency period doesn’t start until next month, Wahle can talk with the Seahawks because he was released and doesn’t have a contract that is expiring; Wahle would be an interesting find for the Seahawks as he would address the team’s need to improve their offensive line, especially in run blocking. Also factor in that the team hasn’t found a decent replacement for Steve Hutchinson, who left the Seahawks in free agency for the Minnesota Vikings before the 2006 season.
