What Route Will the Hawks Take with Free-Agent to Be Trufant?

Coles vs Trufant

One of the biggest questions this offseason with the Hawks is what will be the fate of corner Marcus Trufant, who is set to be a free agent.  One thing that could keep Trufant in Seattle is the fact that Jim Mora will be the teams head coach next season, and Mora was the coach that told Trufant he should move back to his natural spot of left corner.  “Jim’s a great guy and coach, and I had a lot of fun playing for him this season,” Trufant said. “If I can be back, it’ll be good. At the end of the day, it’s all about business. Hopefully, things work out. But you never know.”  Trufant is a solid player and a great team guy, doing tons of charity work off the field.  The Hawks will do their best to keep him, and with Mora staying on as the guy who will be the new head coach in 2009, the team should do their best to get him locked up before he hits the open market, even if it means throwing the franchise tag on him.
