The Washington Redskins have one less candidate for the vacant head coaching position as it was learned from the Associated Press that Seattle Seahawks assistant coach Jim Mora withdrew from consideration.  In a statement that was released by the Seahawks, Mora stated, “The process reconfirmed that the quality of life for my family in Seattle is my first priority.  This past year has been a great experience both professionally and personally for myself, my wife Shannon, and our kids.  We are very happy members of this community and the Seattle Seahawks organization.”

Redskins owner Daniel Snyder and vice president of football operations Vinny Cerrato plan to spend much of Friday evaluating their candidates, then the owner was to decide whether to invite back any of the current names on the list or to pursue other names.

Interesting news, but I don’t think they were going to offer Mora the Head Coach position.
