Hawks Lock Up Terrill for Three Years
Posted by Matt Loede on January 5th, 2008 filed in NewsDespite being in the middle of a playoff run, the Hawks are thinking future, and made a
great move today with locking up defensive tackle Craig Terrill to a three-year contract that will keep him off the free agent market. Len Pasquarelli of ESPN broke down the deal, giving the following numbers as far as what Terrill will make - the deal runs through the 2010 season, is worth about $5 million. It includes base salaries of $900,000 (for 2008), $1.15 million (2009) and $1.15 million (2010). Terrill was a 6th round choice back in 2004, and so far has played in 47 games, 61 tackles, five sacks and three passes defensed. He would have been a free agent in the spring.
