Holmgren Says Hawks Will Go All Out Sunday in Altanta
Posted by Matt Loede on December 27th, 2007 filed in NewsHawks coach Mike Holmgren says that his team will go all out Sunday when the team plays their regular season finale at Atlanta. The Hawks have clinched the 3rd seed in the NFC as far as the playoffs go, and will take on one of three teams in one of two NFC Wild card games next weekend - the Redskins, Saints or Vikings. The Redskins have the edge, as all they have to do is beat the Cowboys, who will likely sit many of their starters, at home to clinch the final playoff spot.
Holmgren said that right now the only players that will likely sit out the game will be the ones that are injured. Deion Branch has a calf injury, DT Rocky Bernard has a groin injury, and Pro Bowl Tackle Walter Jones may sit with a sore shoulder. All three of the players missed Wednesday’s session.
