Panthers quarterback Matt Moore played well in his first career start, throwing for 208 yards and completing 70 percent of his passes.

Carolina Panthers quarterback Matt Moore, the fourth QB used by the team this season, played quite the opposite of last week - in other words, close to mistake-free football.  His game management was key in leading the Panthers to the upset win over the Seattle Seahawks 13-10 at Charlotte.

The first 3 quarters were scoreless, as the wind played no small part on keeping offense and scoring to a minimum. In the 4th quarter, Moore led the Panthers on two field goal drives, the second ending in a John Kasay 37-yard field goal with 2:59 that gave Carolina a 6-3 lead. On the next possession, Seattle QB Matt Hasselbeck fumbled the ball on a sack by Carolina linebacker Thomas Davis; cornerback Richard Marshall recovered the ball for the Panthers.

A 35-yard TD run by Carolina RB DeAngelo Williams with 1:17 left in the game iced the win for the Panthers. Moore went 19-of-27 for 208 yards, playing a masterful game. Williams led all Panthers rushers with 61 yards on 15 carries with a touchdown; DeShaun Foster added 47 rushing yards on 18 carries. Wide receiver Steve Smith led all Panthers receivers with 72 yards on 8 catches.

Hasselbeck went 27-of-41 for 274 yards with a passing TD. RB Shaun Alexander was stuffed as he rushed for only 17 yards; WR Bobby Engram led all Seattle receivers with 9 receptions for 84 yards, while Deion Branch caught 8 balls for 79 and a TD. Carolina (6-8) remains home to host the Dallas Cowboys next Saturday, while Seattle (9-5) flies back home to host the Baltimore Ravens next Sunday.
