Long Snapper Robinson Signed to Replace Stutz

The Hawks have signed long snapper Jeff Robinson, a 14-year vet who will help them a great deal with their recent problems in that area.  Robinson will replace Boone Stutz.  Reports say that Stutz was getting the ball back to the holder and punter Ryan Plackemeier too quickly, which was adding to the woes for kicker Josh Brown.  Mike Holmgren said Monday he was tired of spending time on that issue, and the next day a move was made.  “The snap, like the snap from center (to quarterback) or anything that you think should be fairly automatic, we can’t think that much about it,” Holmgren said. “And certainly our kicker can’t, and our punter can’t. If all of a sudden they go, ‘Where is it going, and what’s happening here?’ then that affects how they play.”
