Offense to get Boost with Hackett and Branch Returning

Deion Branch, left, and D.J. Hackett will return to the lineup when the Seahawks travel to Cleveland to play the Browns.

As the Seahawks get set for Sunday’s road showdown in Cleveland, the team looks as if they will get wide outs D.J. Hackett and Deion Branch back for the contest. Both players took part in practice on Monday, and both are expected to be in the lineup Sunday.

“I think it’s going to be very important,” coach Mike Holmgren said. “I think they’re both good football players, and you need your … best guys. It will be nice to have them back.”  Hackett’s been out since suffering a high-ankle sprain in the season opener.  Branch has missed two games with a sprained foot after injuring it in the first half against the Steelers on October 7th.

One reason why the offense has still been able to play at a somewhat high level has been the play of wide out Bobby Engram, who has played well in 2007.  “It’s kind of remarkable how he’s been our one playmaker I would say,” Holmgren said. “Every once in a while Nate (Burleson) will come through with something pretty spectacular, but on a consistent basis Bobby has been the guy who has kind of carried the offense.”
