Hawks Coping on with Life Without Strong
Posted by Matt Loede on October 10th, 2007 filed in NewsThe Seahawks are learning how to move on without Mack Strong. The fullback retired on Monday after suffering a herniated disc in Sunday’s game. Strong has not missed a game with the Seahawks since 1999. Shaun Alexander has never played without Strong and Matt Hasselbeck has never played without him as a Seahawk. The torch is being passed to Leonard Weaver. He has received extra work in the past few weeks to give Strong an occasional break. But he gets the starting nod on an offense that has had trouble making the run game work, especially in the first half of games. The Hawks only rushed for 38 yards against the Steelers on Sunday.

This is BIG for the former record breaking RB, hopefully he can pull through and go off this season!
