Hawks Rally Short as Cardinals Win Late 23-20

Neil Rackers hit a 42-yard field goal with a second left in the game to give the Arizona Cardinals a 23-20 win over the Seahawks at University of Phoenix Stadium. The game-winning drive started after Seattle QB Matt Hasselbeck fumbled with 1:55 left in the fourth. Rackers converted on two other kicks, including a 52-yard attempt to tie the game at 20 with 4:53 left. It was the Cards’ first win of the year and Ken Whisenhunt’s first win as an NFL head coach. Matt Leinart went 23-for-37 for 299 yards and threw for one score while being picked off once. Edgerrin James carried the ball for 127 yards and a touchdown on 23 carries. Hasselbeck completed 22-of-36 attempts for 281 yards and a TD as Seattle fell to 1-and-1. He connected with Deion Branch seven times for 122 yards. Shaun Alexander had 18 carries for 70 yards and a score. The Seahawks return home to host the Cincinnati Bengals this Sunday.
