The Seahawks close out the preseason with their second-straight home game at Qwest Field.

Seattle hosts Oakland and takes on the Raiders on August 30 at 7 p.m. (PT) in each teams final tune-up for the regular season. The game will be shown on channel 5 in Seattle.

This is the second-straight season the teams have met in the preseason. The Seahawks are 3-2 all-time against the Raiders in preseason play, including last years 30-7 win at Qwest Field also in the preseason finale.

Oakland won the first preseason game played between these two teams, 45-28, on September 4, 1976. Seattle won the following preseasons matchup, 12-10, in 1977 in the Kingdome. The teams then split the next two meetings in Oakland, with Seattle winning 24-19 on August 8, 1996, and dropping a 20-0 decision on August 24, 2000.

There is a long history between the Seahawks and Raiders when both teams were members of the AFC West from 1977-2001. The Seahawks are 23-27 all-time vs. the Raiders in the regular season. The 50 games played against the Raiders are the second most against any other team besides the Denver Broncos whom the Seahawks have faced 51 times.

In the regular season, the Seahawks are 14-10 in games played in Seattle.

The Seahawks and Raiders have squared off twice in the postseason with each team winning once. Seattle lost to the Los Angeles Raiders 30-14 in the 1983 AFCChampionship Game in the Seahawks first-ever conference title appearance on January 8, 1984. The following season, Seattle returned the favor defeating the Raiders 13-7 in the AFCWild Card Game.
