Hackett

For those of you fantasy football players, if your looking for a wide out that is expected to have a solid year, look no further than the Hawks D.J. Hackett.  KFFL.com, a top fantasy football site, says that Hackett is one of their “Players on the Upswing” and should have a good 2007.  Read below for their comments:

D.J. Hackett, Seattle Seahawks - The club traded wide receiver Darrell Jackson (San Francisco 49ers), which paves the way for the speedy Hackett (third-year wide receiver alert!) will easily win the starting job opposite of wide receiver Deion Branch in an offense with an above-average passing attack. Did you know that Hackett outplayed and out-produced all the other Seahawks’ receivers during the last six weeks of the 2006 regular season, averaging four receptions, 62 yards and 0.5 touchdowns per game? For the year, he finished third on the club in receiving with 45 catches for 610 yards. Only one receiver topped Hackett’s four touchdowns. Hackett has developed some strong chemistry with quarterback Matt Hasselbeck, who should return healthy after he was hindered last year by a laundry list of injuries. Hackett is a popular sleeper pick this year, so just assume that everyone has heard of him. He is a nice No. 3 wide receiver with great upside. You probably should downgrade him a bit in leagues with point-per-reception scoring.
